Chronic Absenteeism (Middle and High School) |
Measurable Outcome: By June 2025, our school will reduce absences in our black and African American high school students by 5% from 29.6% to 24.6%, and absences in our middle school hispanic students by 5% from 23.1% to 18.1%. |
Strategy 1 MTSS Schoolwide and Site Intervention teams analyze attendance along with behavior and wellness data bi-monthly to identify students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. |
Strategy 2 Teachers will use a variety of culturally responsive practices and communication methods to provide supportive outreach to students and families when student attendance concerns arise. |
Algebra 1 (Middle School) |
Targeted Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2024-25 school year, the percentage of students with a strength in the Math 7/Math 8 SOL reporting category Probability, Statistics, Patterns, Functions, & Algebra will increase from 16% to 26%, as measured by the SOL. |
Universal Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2024-25 the percentage of 8th grade students participating in Algebra 1 or higher will increase from 55% (SY24-25) to 60% (SY25-26) as measured by enrollment. |
Strategy 1 Increase systems of support during the school day, after school and summer to help students achieve success in mathematics |
Strategy 2 Improve collaborative teams’ alignment of instructional planning based on analysis of common assessments. |
Strategy 3 Increases students' self-efficacy around the ability to be successful in mathematics. |
English Language Arts (Middle School) |
Targeted Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 24-25 school year, 7th and 8th grade students who are dually identified (ESOL/SPED) will make predicted growth on our literacy screener. |
Universal Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 24-25 school year, all students who are below basic on the reading screener and fail the SOL, will make predicted growth on our literacy screener. |
Strategy 1 Utilize small groups and intervention to increase opportunities for students who need more practice to master standards. |
Strategy 2 Use multiple data points and evidence-based interventions aligned to science based reading research literacy intervention in Tier 2 and Tier 3. |
Performance in Coursework (High School) |
Targeted Measurable Outcome: By June 2025, the percentage of Grade 9-12 students with disabilities who earned a final mark of 70% or higher in all classes will increase by 5% from 69% to 74% as measured by final marks. |
Universal Measurable Outcome: By June 2025, the percentage of G9-12 students who earned a final mark of a 70% or higher in all classes will increase by 5% from 81% (end of 23-24 data) to 86% as measured by final marks. |
Strategy 1 INSTRUCTION: Strengthen differentiation by designing and implementing effective scaffolds. |
Strategy 2 INSTRUCTION: Provide regular opportunities for students to reflect on their learning experiences, set goals for growth, and track their progress over time. |
Progress to Advanced Coursework (High School) |
Targeted Measurable Outcome: By June 2025, the percentage of Multilingual Learners and Students with disabilities successfully meeting both math and reading screener benchmarks will increase from 7% to 12% as measured using end of year screener data. |
Universal Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2024-25 school year the percentage of students who meet their benchmarks in both the reading and math screeners will increase by 7% from 23% in SY23-24 to 30% in SY 24-25 as measured by the screeners |
Strategy 1 Increase opportunities for students to engage in rigorous and open-ended tasks that require critical and creative thinking. |
Strategy 2 Increase opportunities for student reflection, goal-setting, and feedback that supports growth around content and Portrait of a Graduate skills. |
Strategy 3 Increase use of Young Scholars wraparound supports in MTSS based on specific needs. |
