Senior Regional Orchestra

The weekend of November 12th, 3 Robinson Orchestra students participated in the Senior Regional Orchestra event.  They performed in an advanced full symphony orchestra (Winds/Brass/Percussion/Strings) with students from 23 different high schools in our Northern VA region.  They performed Arthur Honegger’s Symphony #3 (“Symphonie liturgique”) and Valerie Coleman’s “Umoja, Anthem for Unity”.  The performance was conducted by Jim Ross, current Music Director of the Alexandria Symphony.

It was an AWESOME performance and these guys worked SO hard.  Robinson & Mrs. Rupert couldn’t be more proud of them! 

These students are now eligible to audition for All-State Orchestra!

Robinson District Honors Orchestra

Robinson Secondary School will be well-represented at the Senior and Junior District Orchestra performance at George Mason University on January 8th, 2022.  The Senior District Orchestra and the Junior District Orchestra will both perform at the concert beginning at 2:30 p.m.  Our students below were selected after completing competitive auditions.  Three hundred thirty-two students from 17 different schools in the area auditioned for a seat in the orchestras. Come and listen to our fantastic student musicians in January.  The concert will be certain to chase away those Winter Blues!
