Meaningful Watershed Experience Field Trip
Seventh graders had the chance to do science field work at Burke Lake this week. Students spent a beautiful day outside learning about our local ecosystem. At each station, students worked as scientists to collect and analyze data on the health of Burke Lake. They had the chance to put on waders and investigate the biodiversity found in and around the lake. Students learned how a growing population in Fairfax County affects our waterways. We picked up trash, studied the local trees, and had a great time in the sunshine!
