Robinson Secondary School continued its tradition of welcoming our youngest Rams to school. Our seventh Grade students will be the class of 2024!

At our traditional first day of school pep rally, seventh-grade students are welcomed into the field house by the student body after walking through the Ram Tunnel.  During the pep rally, we celebrated the achievements of students and staff, played games, sang the fight song and were led by our cheer team, dance team, SGA, the Marching Rams and Mr.Hazard, and many others.

Students were also greeted at the Main Entrance by the cheerleaders, the drum-line, student volunteers and our Admin team.  As the buses filed in, the sounds of the drum-line and cheers filled the air.

Academics

After the exciting welcome, the excitement continued in the classroom. Teachers have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their classes and planned some enriching first-day activities for their students.  A picture from Active Physic's Marshmallow challenge is below.  You can follow our HS Science program on Twitter @STEAMRams.

We also had a visit from our featured author this week, Craig Grossi.  Craig is the author of Craig & Fred, A Marine, A Stray Dog, and How They Rescued  Each Other.  This summer at Robinson teachers, staff, and students read the book together came back in the fall with a common book to discuss.  This meaningful summer assignment will encourage the critical skill of reading, serve as a culture-building activity, and open a conversation among students, faculty, and staff for discussion and activities in the fall. You can follow our library on Twitter as well @RobinsonLibrary.

Back to School Night

Our High School Back to School Night (BTSN) was on August 30th. The Ram Mall opened at 6 p.m. and parents were able to visit with their students' teachers, following their class schedule from 7 - 9 p.m.  The library was open for questions and, parents were also able to get help with their SIS ParentVue accounts if needed.  The Middle School BTSN is on September 6th and will follow the same schedule.

Parents can purchase all sorts of Ram gear at the Ram Mall.  Pictured below are a couple of our high school yearbook students, who were selling yearbooks. Follow the yearbook journey on Twitter @AboveBeyondYbk.
