Mr. Kavjian always gets me excited for class. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of chemistry he makes it fun and seems like he really cares. He always goes one step further to make sure I learn and I appreciate that.he honestly displays all of the 6 features. He also knows the subjects and he teaches the subjects in a way that I get and if I don’t he goes over it to make sure I learn everything.
Ms. Emily Normand, Math Teacher - Middle School Outstanding New Teacher Award
Its only Ms. Normand's first year teaching as a math teacher and she is amazing. She is so caring, understanding, and makes sure to push us to do our best in mathematics. Ms. Normand helped me in raise understand consumer applications and it was a very hard topic for me to understand. She also gives us a lot of time to work on assignments and if we turn it in late she's understanding. Its only her first year and she's doing amazing as a 7th grade math teacher!

Ms Peggi Miller, Special Education Teacher - High School Outstanding Teacher Award
There is a phrase we keep coming back to that describes Ms. Miller's actions, it is extraordinary support. She supports students in building their academic skills, helps them build peer support groups, connects with each one as an individual to support their social-emotional well being, assists teachers by supporting accommodations, guides parents through ways to support their students, and helps students on their journey to achieve their full potential. All this she does at an extraordinary level.
Mr. Jake Everett, School Resource Officer - Outstanding Operational Employee Award
I nominate Officer Jake (his first name) because he has always helped me when i need it most ever since freshman/sophomore year and I am now a senior. He makes me feel safe in this school, and he’s doing great at his job. I say hi to him almost every morning before i go to my next class. He’s exactly what i would want in a school officer, he does his job and makes everyone feel safe but he also makes everyone’s day by being himself and being funny. He deserves to be recognized for all the he does.
Mr. Max Ruth, Technology Support Specialist - Middle School Outstanding Professional Employee Award
Max promotes a Premier Workforce within FCPS by training new Technology Support Specialists. He facilitates a Group Policy class in which he teaches new TSSpecs how to use group policies to effectively manage many computers and many users. Since Robinson is home to close to 4000 students and over 400 staff members, Max is a pro at automating processes to keep all the computers and devices up and running. He teaches this 3 hour course 2 to 3 times per year and even has experienced TSSpecs attend for a refresher in this efficient management system.
Mr. Derek Knizner, Technology Support Specialist - High School Outstanding Professional Employee Award
Derek fosters cooperative relationships with a team of 4 Technology Support Specialists, 2 SBTS, Chris Farmerie, Assistant Principal in charge of Technology as well as with Ann Wong, Associate Principal and Tracey Phillips, Principal at Robinson Secondary School. He and his co-worker Max Ruth have led our team through our FCPSOn transition by supporting parents, students and staff in the proper care and management of their FCPS computers. By providing assistance to parents, staff and students with their technology equipment, Derek models Resource Stewardship, a Caring Culture, as well as ensuring that everyone's technology works correctly to ensure Student Success.
Mr. Daniel Clements, Assistant Principal - Outstanding Leader Award
I am nominating Daniel Clements for his outstanding leadership at Robinson Secondary School. Danny supervises transportation, security, the science department, and the class of 2024. He works to ensure a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for both staff and students. As the hardest working assistant principal I have ever known, he has been able to help not only me but other staff and students conquer problems and voice concerns while sustaining the utmost level of professionalism. He has fostered a caring culture among the science department while setting realistic, but high, expectations to compel teachers to flourish despite the everyday teaching challenges.
