Step 1: Register through FCPS Adult Education (ACE) to pay $20 registration fee.

Step 2: Register with the DMV

This is to take the DMV Learner's Permit Test. This test is for Robinson Secondary students ONLY (FCPS ID is required). This link will also be provided on your confirmation form from ACE. You MUST register with the DMV to be allowed to test. Students MUST be 15 years and 6 months old by the day of the test. If you have had 2 unsuccessful attempts at passing this test, then you are required to test at the DMV for your 3rd attempt. NOTE: You must be registered on the FCPS ACE site AND with the DMV. (If this step is not completed, you will not have a test ticket)

Step 3: On the day of the test, come to Room 513 (Driver's Ed Room) with:

1) Completed consent form

AND

2) A Photo ID (School ID/Passport/Military ID) 

The test starts promptly at 3:00 p.m.

Once you pass the test, take your certificate to the DMV for your vision test and picture (no appointment necessary). Your permit will be mailed to you.
