While the course selection process is now done online, please use the resources below to assist you with your planning for next year.

Course Selection for 2024-2025

Academic Advising Schedule: (These dates are subject to change.)

January 4th and 5th, Robinson High School counselors will present course options to rising 9th grade students.  Students will meet with their counselors to pick classes beginning February 5th. Parents will be able to view course selections via their SIS ParentVue account.  Directions for entering courses coming soon. 

January 22nd, 6:00pm – Rising 7 Parent Night (5:30pm for ESOL, Spanish Immersion and SPED)

January 22ndElective’s Fair – current students will have an opportunity during RAISE to visit elective classes to begin thinking about which courses they want to take in the 2023-2024 school year.  This FCPS Google site will remain active through the academic advising season for rising 7 & rising 8 students to view. Parents will need to ask their students to log in to google to view videos showcasing elective courses that will be offered for the 2023-2024 school year. 

Rising 7 & Rising 8 students and parents will be able to access the middle school Elective Explorer and Course Selection Sheet through Schoology.  Parents are encouraged to review course selections with students and discuss the wonderful opportunities that are available.

January 29th through February 2nd, Robinson Middle School counselors will meet with rising 7th grade students at their elementary school to discuss academic options for the school year and answer questions students may have.  Students will have access to StudentVue to select courses directly in SIS. Parents will be able to view course selections via their SIS ParentVue account.  Directions for entering courses coming soon. 

Beginning February 5th, Robinson Middle School counselors will present course options to rising 8th grade and 9th grade students.  Parents will be able to view course selections via their SIS ParentVue account.  

If students would like to change a course that they selected during academic advising, they can contact their counselor.  Some classes may be closed due to reaching maximum enrollment.  Students can be added to the waitlist for closed classes. Current 6th grade students should contact your elementary school counselor.  For Current 7th and 8th grade students who wish to make changes, please contact your counselor.

All requests for changes to course selections must be made prior to June 7, 2024.  

Please be aware that school counselors will be meeting with students during January and February, so scheduling a meeting during this time could be a significant challenge.  Responses to emails or phone calls may also be slower than usual, however, they will respond to you as soon as possible.
