Robinson Secondary School is a comprehensive 7th-12th grade secondary school located in Fairfax County, Virginia, a residential suburb of Washington, D.C. Robinson strives to prepare students to successfully meet the many challenges of a global society.
Robinson’s Class of 2018 has 3 National Merit Finalists and 26 Commended scholars.

International Baccalaureate & Advanced Placement
Robinson Secondary is a fully accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) world school, an internationally recognized academic program of studies for eleventh and twelfth grade students. Students may choose to enroll as full IB Diploma Program candidates or as IB Certificate candidates in one or more subjects. Robinson currently has 155 senior IB diploma candidates.
The primary mission of the IB program is to provide highly motivated learners with a rigorous, comprehensive and compassionate course of study, providing opportunities for students to develop thinking skills, as well as an awareness of themselves as thinkers and learners.
Robinson also offers a limited number of Advanced Placement courses. All IB and AP courses offered at Robinson are listed below. IB and AP courses are weighted by applying an additional 1.0 quality point when calculating grade point average.
Honors classes prepare students for the rigorous demands of the International Baccalaureate and other advanced program offerings at Robinson. Honors courses are weighted by applying an additional 0.5 quality point when calculating grade point average.

- 2541 IB tests were administered in May 2017. 127 students received the IB diploma. The average points obtained by candidates who received the diploma was 30 points.
- 1915 out of the 2541 IB tests (75.4%) received a passing grade of 4 or higher. 30 students received the highest score of 7.
