Rising 7th Graders are invited to a social event sponsored by RMS Student Government Association. Students will have an opportunity to socialize while enjoying music, games, photo booth, and other activities for our new Robinson Rams. Students will not want to miss this special event. |Gold Rush Parental Navigation System (PNS) Parent Event||
Parent Event While your student is at the Gold Rush, you are invited to a Meet and Greet open house hosted by Robinson’s PTSA members and school administrators. You will then have an opportunity to attend 4 breakout sessions with RMS Counselors. The session topics will include Session 1: Technology-Navigating SIS, Blackboard, Google. Session 2: Organization/Self-Advocacy Session 3: Social Media-Safety on the Internet/Parental Control Session 4: Developmental Stages of Adolescents.
Whether this is your first or last child starting RMS or you are new to the area, we welcome you to stop in to meet other parents and learn more about life as a middle school student at RMS.

|July/August 2018 Session A: July 30th –August 3rd Session B: August 6th-10th||Ramping Up||Ramping Up is a PTSA sponsored program designed to provide students with the essential background knowledge and skills to support a successful transition to middle school. Parents may select one session for their child to attend. In early April, parents will receive an email from Robinson Middle School with a program description and link to the online registration form. Ramping up is a fee-based program and parents must provide transportation.||8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Robinson Middle School|
|Thursday, August 23, 2018||Middle School Orientation & New 8th Grade Student Orientation||
All Rising 7th Graders and newly registered 8th Grade students are invited to join us for our NSO Program. This orientation will provide students an opportunity to walk through their schedule, see their classrooms, and meet their teachers. Upon arrival, all students will receive their 2018-2019 schedule – near Entrance 1 and report to their first period class.
FCPS Bus Transportation will not be provided. Parents must provide transportation to and from Robinson Secondary.

|New Parent Orientation||All Rising 7th Grade and newly registered 8th Grade parents, after dropping off your student near Entrance 1, we hope that you will join us for “Robinson 101”, a parent information event. This gathering will provide you with helpful information regarding middle school routines, practices, and expectations.||8:15 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Russell Theatre|
|Ram Rally||RSS annual open house event to kick off our 2018-2019 school year. Students and parents may come anytime during the three hour window. Festivities will include food tucks, vendors selling Robinson Ram spirit wear, and the opportunity to meet and greet new and old friends. After turning in the required forms, students may receive their schedules with their locker assignments for the year! Students feel free to practice your combination and spruce up your locker for the upcoming school year! Parents will have an opportunity to set up lunch accounts, visit the clinic, and drop off medications, etc.||10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.|
